Democratic U.S. Reps. Jared Moskowitz and Jamie Raskin had stern words for their Republican colleague, Lauren Boebert, over what they contend is misdirected ire about America’s pandemic handling.
During committee, Boebert accused President Joe Biden’s administration of “silencing” people and “colluding to cover up what China released into the globe.”
Moskowitz, who oversaw Florida’s pandemic response in 2020, and Raskin reminded her that school and business closures, mask mandates, vaccine rollouts and denials that a lab in Wuhan released the novel coronavirus all started under Donald Trump.
“When we bring up COVID,” Moskowitz said, “we seem to have amnesia.”
