Gov. DeSantis touts 11K migrants deported from South Florida amid ‘Biden’s border crisis’

Florida has deported enough migrants in the last six months to fill more than half the seats in the Miami-Dade Arena, according to Gov. Ron DeSantis, who blamed President Joe Biden’s “border crisis” for the problem.

DeSantis announced Florida National Guard, police and emergency management personnel repatriated nearly 11,000 migrants trying to enter Florida illegally since August.

That’s 54 people – or one full Martha’s Vineyard flight – a day.

Thousands from Cuba and Haiti arrived by boat to Monroe and Miami-Dade counties. Last month, state agencies erected a makeshift camp in Islamorada to house police and soldiers to handle the influx.
