It’s nearly unimaginable, considering how close the Miami Heat came to winning it all last year, but it seems like the team will have to get into the playoffs via a play-in.
The NBA Play-in is for teams that finish the regular season in seventh or eighth place and get two chances to advance to the playoffs. This is looking like Miami’s only route.
Still, Monday night featured the kind of win that’s set the team apart in spite of its middling performance. The Heat melted the Jazz, 119-114, notching its 24th win by five points or less this season.
