A Broward company has recalled 500 pounds of frozen flatbread-like meals flagged for being produced without USDA inspection.

The USDA uncovered the issue during Food and Safety Inspection Service surveillance. The frozen meat and poultry products in the dishes, produced by Wow Frozen Food, didn’t have USDA marks of inspection.

“Upon further investigation, FSIS determined that the products were not produced in an FSIS-inspected establishment,” an agency release said.

Wow Frozen Food’s principal address is a rented Plantation house.

The Miami Herald reported the meals, which included chicken, beef, dairy and pork products, were sold to stores and on Instagram.
