The Miami Heat’s late comeback against the Detroit Pistons Sunday might very well turn out to be emblematic of the season.
The Pistons entered the fourth quarter with a seven-point lead. Somehow, though, the Heat took control and went on a 20-4 run, turning a late deficit into victory, 112-100.
That win puts seventh-place Miami just one game behind the sixth-place Nets and getting closer to the fifth-place Knicks, the Miami Herald reports.
Next up, the Heat could climb into seeded playoff position at an upcoming two-game homestand against those teams this week. There’s nine games left to sink it.
