For more than 50 years, thousands of people have come to the Delray Beach Easter Sunrise Service Interfaith Celebration on State Road A1A to watch the morning sky fill with light.
Cason United Methodist Church in Delray Beach is hosting this Sunday’s event that will start at 6:30 a.m. along the scenic highway from Atlantic Avenue to Miramar Drive.
Ministers and other speakers will lead this celebration of renewal with scriptures and readings, along with both contemporary and traditional music. Bringing something to sit on is recommended.
The road will be closed to vehicles starting at 5:30 a.m. and then reopening at 8 a.m.
