The FAU Owls dream season might’ve ended in heartbreaking fashion – buzzer-beaten by one point when San Diego State sank its final basket – but the men’s basketball team’s final game was definitely the most thrilling in the Final Four match-up.
In the final game, UConn ran away with it, beating San Diego with a score of 76-59. And Miami never got close to UConn. That matchup ended 72-59.
“Extremely proud of the guys’ effort and the ride they’ve taken us on for five or six months, however long it’s been,” said FAU coach Dusty May, according to FAU.
He spoke for many, undoubtedly.
