A four-story duplex could rise on a pristine part of Boca Raton’s shore, according to a judge’s ruling.
U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith of Fort Lauderdale said the city should reconsider its 2019 decision to deny a permit to build a home at 2500 N. Ocean Blvd., the Sun Sentinel reported.
He found the proposal should get another City Council hearing due to the bias of 2019 votes cast by Mayor Scott Singer, Councilwoman Monica Mayotte and former Councilwoman Andrea O’Rourke, term-limited in March.
For the last several decades, the city has sought to keep development off its coastline.
