A state-sponsored center to help those affected in the “rain bomb” that pelted Fort Lauderdale with record rainfall has opened at the Broward Boulevard Park & Ride, according to a news release.

It’s aimed at helping those the flood affected with business damage assessment, business continuity and job search assistance from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, at least through this week.

The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is directing the effort with help from the state Division of Emergency Management (DEM), CareerSource Florida and the Florida Small Business Development Center Network, a news release from DEM said.
