Staffer-turned-political aspirant Jon Carter now has six elected officials backing his bid to succeed Republican Rep. Rick Roth in House District 94.
Carter’s campaign announced endorsements from Palm Beach County Commissioner Sara Baxter, for whom Carter is chief of staff, plus Loxahatchee Vice Mayor Robert Shorr and Pahokee Commissioners Juan Gonzalez and Sara Perez.
All serve in HD 94, which covers inland Palm Beach.
Boynton Beach Vice Mayor Tom Turkin and Lake Clarke Shores Councilman John Maples also endorsed Carter, who faces two fellow first-time Republican candidates – psychologist and entrepreneur Gabrielle Fox and health industry pro Anthony Aguirre – in the race.
