Longest-serving Palm Beach County Sheriff announces re-election bid

by The 100 Companies

The longest-serving Palm Beach County Sheriff wants to go even longer: Sheriff Ric Bradshaw officially announced his bid for re-election.

In March, Bradshaw reached the “longest-serving” milestone, outlasting Richard Wille, who was elected in 1976 and returned to office four times. He served 18 years before retiring midway through his fifth term in 1995, according to the Palm Beach Post.

First, the Democrat will have to get by his 2020 Primary foe, Alex Freeman, a former major for Riviera police. Bradshaw’s former No. 2 in command at the PBSO also wants his job. Michael Gauger is running as a Republican.
