New AI-powered ‘Regional Marketplace’ poised for launch

by The 100 Companies

After nearly a year of preparation, a new South Florida-focused platform designed to boost business opportunities for local and minority-owned companies is ready for takeoff.

The artificial intelligence-powered platform, called the Regional Business Marketplace, is set to launch Monday with a $1.4 million investment, mostly from the Health Foundation of South Florida.

It’s meant to serve as a uniformly vetted vendor pool from which local anchor organizations can draw contracts. Participants, which united in 2020 to form the South Florida Anchor Alliance, include Miami-Dade and Broward counties, their school districts and several public and private health and higher education institutions.
