Barry University’s tennis teams once again secured national championships.
The women’s team, led by coach Avi Kigel, won its sixth straight title, going 28-0 and defeating local rival Nova Southeastern 4-1 in the final.
Nova took the doubles point, but Barry won singles with players Dinara Alloiarova, Deniz Khazan, Selina Pichler and Clara Versier.
The men, under coach and former Barry athlete Thomas Hipp, topped Columbus State 4-2, finishing this month with a 25-5 season record.
Columbus took doubles, while Barry players Tim Buttner, Alessandro Giuliato, Alejandro Palacios and Amau Rodriguez won the team’s fourth consecutive NCAA Division II title.
