Suarez netted a $1 million dollar donation from Ken Griffin, the CEO of hedge fund Citadel and backer of Gov. Ron DeSantis. The donation comes as Suarez appears to be inching closer to a 2024 presidential run himself, as he ramps up his media appearances.
Loser: Broward Schools
The Board just wrapped a week of ineptitude. Questions are swirling whether Board members followed the law in pushing for clear backpacks. An audit also raised issue with large exit packages for former administrators. Oh yeah, and the district will end the school year with zero sex ed classes.
