The town of Davie and the Scoutmasters Camporee Committee South Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America are making Memorial Day more than a reason to barbeque.
All patriotic Americans are invited to a parade and memorial service to honor the sacrifices made so that the United States could be free, the organizer’s flier says.
The parade starts at 10:15 a.m. at the Davie Fire Administration, 6905 Davie Rd. and ends about a half mile east at Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, 4271 Davie Rd., where the ceremony will be held.
This is not a political event, the flier says.
