Donald Trump appeared in Miami court Tuesday to plead not guilty to 37 charges related to the mishandling of classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach.
Supporters and detractors of the former President protested outside. They were largely peaceful, though at least one person was arrested after running in front of Trump’s motorcade.
Police also briefly blocked off a nearby plaza prior to Trump’s arrival so a bomb squad could investigate a suspicious package.
Trump was released without having to pay a bond or restrict his travel, then rode with his son, Eric Trump, to the Trump National Doral.
