Gov. Ron DeSantis has tapped lawyer Alexandria Suarez to serve on the College of the Florida Keys District Board of Trustees.
Suarez, an Assistant State Attorney in the Florida Keys and mother of six children, was also a Miami-Dade County middle school teacher for nearly 10 years.
In 2020, she ran to represent House District 120, but lost in the Republican Primary Race. In 2022, she ran for Monroe County School Board.
Suarez received her Juris Doctor (JD) from St. Thomas University after earning her bachelor’s degree in English from Florida International University, according to her School Board campaign website.
