Earlier this month, I traveled to Warsaw to celebrate the marriage of my firstborn son. If you have never experienced a Polish wedding, BEWARE: They last two to three days and include multiple fascinating customs, from the family blessing to the “oczepiny,” or unveiling.
The entire journey got me thinking:
We Are,
All of us,
Most Alive,
When We Are Loved.
My wife is a second-generation American from Poland; my son’s new wife is Polish, and the newlyweds will live in Warsaw. I returned (a bit reluctantly) home to Tucson with my heart full, excited about their future.
Na Zdrowie.
