Unique display in Vero Beach offers visitors a new perspective

Experience the Tropical Flock of Avian Avatars, a larger-than-life exhibit at McKee Botanical Garden on display through April 28. Donna Dodson and Andy Moerlein created the 10 bird sculptures from bamboo and wood. They also include a variety of recycled, repurposed and reused materials to represent feathers.

Visitors are encouraged to interact with the sculptures as they take in their enormous scale. The art is mindfully placed, inviting people to view them, walk through them, rest on a bench within or run playfully through the art. The welcoming and accessible nature of the exhibit welcomes visitors of all ages and abilities.
