Lawmakers approved HB 91 to rechristen all of State Road A1A as “Jimmy Buffett Highway.”
“A1A” is the title of Buffett’s fifth record.
It didn’t matter whether their fins leaned left or right; every lawmaker approved the change Republicans Jim Mooney and Chuck Clemons sponsored in the House.
Democrat Lauren Book, the measure’s Senate sponsor, said it’s a fitting tribute to the Parrothead now “off searching for his lost shaker of salt.”
