Lake Worth Beach voters re-elected Mayor Betty Resch, and it wasn’t close.
Resch, a former City Attorney now in private practice, took 61% of the vote to defeat former Commissioner Andy Amaroso.
With all ballots counted, 553 votes separated them.
Lake Worth called for a runoff last month after neither Resch nor Amoroso secured more than 50% of the vote to win a four-way contest for Mayor.
In her second three-year term, Resch wants to see a parking garage built downtown, mitigate flooding and address incivility at City Hall that contributed to the December firing of then-City Manager Carmen Davis.
