State Attorneys Harold Pryor of Broward County, Katherine Fernandez Rundle of Miami-Dade County and Dennis Ward of Monroe County all secured four more years in office after no one filed to run against them.
Each won by default. Pryor, a Democrat, scored a second four-year term. Ward, a Republican, headed to a third consecutive term in his second stint as Monroe’s top prosecutor.
Democrat Fernandez Rundle, meanwhile, won a seventh straight term after raising over $800,000 to defend her job.
Palm Beach County is another matter. Seven candidates have qualified for a race to succeed Democratic State Attorney Dave Aronberg.
