After one term on the Palm Beach School Board, Alexandria Ayala is packing it in.
Ayala said she will not seek a second term in the panel’s District 2 seat representing parents and students in a central part of the county.
She called her time on the dais “an absolute honor” and vowed to “remain dedicated to the well-being and success of our schools and community at large.”
Three candidates are running to succeed her: Guatemalan-Maya Center Assistant Executive Director Mariana Blanco, West Palm Beach resident Angel Rodriguez Suarez and longtime county administration pro Virginia Savietto.
Ayala has endorsed Blanco.
