Outrage trails Cuban regime tour of Miami airport security

by The 100 Companies

Elected South Florida leaders are demanding answers after learning Cuban officials took a TSA-led tour of security areas at Miami International Airport.

The TSA said the visit was “routine” and without espionage risks. Dozens of officials – including U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, Hialeah Gardens Sen. Bryan Ávila, Rep. Juan Porras and Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava – said the visit was inappropriate, particularly since it was on Cuban Independence Day.

The TSA apologized and promised to give advance notice of future visits. Rubio, U.S. Rep. Carlos Giménez and other federal lawmakers said that’s not enough. They’re now seeking more information.
