Hollywood Democratic Sen. Jason Pizzo is warning local governments in his district to fight antisemitism or lose his help advancing their legislative causes.
In Aventura this month, he said he’s fed up with protesters who are “completely frigging ignorant” about Israel and Jewish contributions to the Civil Rights movement.
In Miramar later, he criticized a since-withdrawn cease-fire resolution by Mayor Wayne Messam.
Pizzo, who visited Israel in December, said localities that don’t show “authentic, hearts-and-minds” opposition to antisemitism will “suffer the consequences of not having (his) support.”
“You’re either on the right side of history,” he said, “or you’re not.”
