Miami Mayor Francis Suarez remains keen on a potential Governor’s bid.
“One thing that would be interesting is looking at an ecosystem like the state of Florida, potentially running for Governor,” he told NBC News.
Suarez, a Republican, said he’d also accept a federal position under a second Donald Trump administration.
It’s not the first time he floated gubernatorial aspirations. In September, less than a month after suspending his short-lived presidential campaign, Suarez told CBS News that “running for Governor is something that would interest” him.
Suarez’s current mayoral term ends next year. The governorship is up for grabs in 2026.
