A Boca Raton woman is facing criminal charges after being accused of making a bomb at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, a Trump hotel and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio’s office.
Unsealed federal documents show Martha Shoenfeld is charged with threatening a former President and making a telephonic bomb threat. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 maximum fine.
She has pleaded not guilty.
The federal complaint says Shoenfeld admitted to making the threats June 6. Five weeks later, Trump was shot and survived an assassination attempt at a presidential campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania.
