Florida’s most Democratic-leaning county is turning bluer.
In referendums of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ School Board picks, voters replaced Republican appointees Torey Alston and Daniel Foganholi with Democrats.
Only Democrats ran for Clerk, Elections Supervisor and Tax Collector.
U.S. Reps. Jared Moskowitz, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Frederica Wilson, all Dems too, are on track for re-election.
Former County Commissioner Barbara Sharief has only one underfunded GOP opponent left in Senate District 35. Oakland Park Mayor Mitch Rosenwald won outright in House District 98, as did incumbent Rep. Daryl Campbell in House District 99, keeping both seats Democratic for two more years.
