Donald Trump should win Florida, given Republicans’ million-voter advantage statewide. But it won’t be because South Florida swung his way, polling shows.
One survey found the ex-President underwater in Miami-Dade, with half of respondents viewing him unfavorably compared to 46% favorably. His opponent, Kamala Harris, had net positive favorability.
In Palm Beach County, Harris holds an 18-point lead among voters, another poll found.
And yes, one survey showed them tied in Miami-Dade. But that, if accurate, won’t likely hold after Trump repeated unfounded claims during Tuesday’s debate that Haitians, of which there are many in South Florida, are eating pets.
