Ex-Surfside Mayor Shlomo Danzinger is again suing Miami-Dade, this time to overturn the county Mayor’s race results.
Danzinger, who placed fifth in the Miami-Dade Mayor’s race, is arguing that Mayor Daniella Levine Cava violated state law by lying on her oath of candidacy so her name appeared on the ballot atop her six challengers.
A Judge tossed a similar complaint last month that called for Levine Cava’s removal from the ballot.
But that denial dealt with pre-election matters. Different Florida statutes govern post-election challenges.
Danzinger wants an immediate hearing so the contest can appear (again) on the General Election ballot.
