As he readies to lead Senate Democrats in the coming Session, Hollywood’s Jason Pizzo is stacking campaign cash like he’s facing a tough Republican challenger.
He isn’t. His opponent, Imtiaz Mohammed, hasn’t raised a cent this cycle and says America is “run on hate.”
Pizzo nevertheless amassed $732,000 since last February, including $50,000 apiece since late August from FPL parent NextEra Energy and the Seminole Tribe, whose Hard Rock Casino sits in his district.
Also since then, he’s transferred close to half his gains to the Florida Democratic Party and Legislative Campaign Committee to aid election efforts in needier races.
