South Florida home sales decline after brief Summer uptick

by The 100 Companies

Home sales in Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties saw downturns last month compared to the year prior.

Palm Beach saw the biggest year-over-year drop, according to the latest report from real estate company Douglas Elliman. There were 262 closed home sales in the county in September, down from 307 in September 2023 – a 14.3% drop.

Miami-Dade, meanwhile, saw a 10.2% decline, from 736 sales in September 2023 to 661 the same month this year.

Broward was alone in not losing ground. But it didn’t gain any either. There were 388 signed home closings there last month, the same as in September 2023.
