New FAU poll finds abortion, marijuana amendments at risk of failure

by The 100 Companies

There’s just enough support among Florida voters to make recreational pot legal through a proposed constitutional amendment, but an insufficient amount to do the same for abortion protections, new Florida Atlantic University polling shows.

FAU and Mainstreet Research USA surveyed 913 registered voters Oct. 19-27. They found Amendment 3 to legalize cannabis carries 60% support among all voters, the exact percentage needed for either measure to pass.

But Amendment 4, which would safeguard abortion access until fetal viability, has just 58% support. That’s two points shy of what is needed.

Gov. Ron DeSantis and his team have fought both measures.
