Palm Beach State Attorney vows to prosecute threats against election workers

If you’re thinking of harassing election workers, avoid Palm Beach County, State Attorney Dave Aronberg says.

Aronberg’s Office issued a warning to would-be bullies with aims to intimidate, threaten or harm poll workers and voters.

“Any threats, intimidation or acts of violence against them will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” he said in a statement.

Marc Freeman, the Office’s spokesperson, said the admonishment is proactive and that there had been no cases so far of voter harassment in Palm Beach.

“We’ve seen news reports from other jurisdictions,” he said, “and we don’t want that happening here.”
