Seminole Tribe settles legal challenges over online sports betting exclusivity

by The 100 Companies

The Seminole Tribe has reached an agreement to end a protracted court battle over its deal to have exclusive rights to online sports betting in Florida.

Four months after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the case, plaintiffs West Flagler Associates and Bonita Fort-Myers Corp. ended their litigation.

The companies announced a new partnership. The Tribe will offer Jai Alai wagering on its Hard Rock Bets app. West Flagler owns World Jai Alai League operations in Coral Gables and Bonita Springs, among other things.

Seminole CEO Jim Allen said of the deal, “This is truly a win-win agreement.”
