North Miami Beach has fired its Deputy City Manager, David Scott, after his arrest on charges of possession of child pornography.
Scott, 63, faces 15 felony counts of sexual performance by a child/possession, county records show. Each charge is connected to a video depicting abuse of children aged 2-10.
Detectives from the Miami Police Department identified Scott as a suspect who uploaded 31 images and videos of child sexual abuse materials and tried to buy 6,000 related files online.
They worked with State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations and three other local Police Departments to catch him.
