Book is unlikely to face serious competition, and her return could come as soon as 2026 should Pizzo resign to run for Governor.

Prosecutors were forced to drop the charges against the suspended Miami City Commissioner. There were allegations of investigators misrepresenting evidence and prosecutors blaming witnesses for the case’s downfall, using them as “scapegoats.”
