President-elect Donald Trump is getting his own street in Miami-Dade.
County Commissioners voted 9-1 for a resolution by Kevin Marino Cabrera to name Palm Avenue in the city of Hialeah “President Donald J. Trump Avenue.”
The move was championed by Hialeah Mayor Esteban “Steve” Bovo and the City Council.
“President Trump exemplifies true public service, enduring immense scrutiny and relentless attacks, all in the name of serving the American people,” said Cabrera, who led Trump’s 2020 election effort in Florida.
Commissioner Marleine Bastien cast the sole “no” vote, citing Trump’s debunked assertion about “Haitians eating cats and dogs in Ohio.”
