A troubled man arrested for traveling to Broward to attack the pro-Israel AIPAC group’s offices will have his case handled in South Florida.
A court this week ordered Forrest Pemberton, 26, to face justice near his intended target.
Pemberton left Gainesville with his guns Dec. 22. He left computer evidence and a letter saying “goodbye” and promising to “stoke the flames.” His father reported him missing.
Pemberton reached Plantation, found AIPAC had moved, then traveled north. The FBI apprehended him in Tallahassee.
Pemberton claimed he “gave up” on the plot, calling it a “one-way ticket.”
He faces one count of stalking.
