Hollywood City Commissioner Caryl Shuham is making strides in her bid to succeed Beam Furr on the Broward County Commission next year.
She’s exceeded six figures in campaign cash and is building an impressive slate of endorsers.
Shuham, a Democrat and the only candidate to file yet for Beam’s District 6 seat, has brought in nearly $125,000, including $50,000 in self-loans.
Numerous notable leaders are backing her, including Broward Commissioner Nan Rich, Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis, and School Board members Maura Bulman of Broward and Joe Geller of Miami-Dade County.
That’s on top of several nods from city leaders.
