U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Parkland is joining the House Judiciary Committee, a pivotal panel responsible for handling legal system matters, including federal courts, law enforcement and civil liberties.
He’s also taking a Ranking Member post on the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Intelligence, which falls under the House Committee on Foreign Affairs to which he also holds membership.
The Judiciary seat is one Moskowitz has been angling for since announcing his departure from the House Oversight Committee earlier this month.
In the Subcommittee, he’ll be the leading Democratic voice on matters of overseas policy, intelligence and research.
