The Florida Democratic Party (FDP) has named four candidates it’s supporting through its regular “Take Back Local” program in the March 11 municipal elections.

Three are seeking elected seats in Palm Beach County. One is vying for a post in Pinellas County.

The Palm Beach candidates include Lake Park Commissioner Michael Hensley, Coconut Creek Commissioner Jackie Railey and Dom Vargas, who is running for the Boynton Beach Commission.

In Pinellas, Democrat Marlene Shaw hopes to unseat incumbent Gulfport Council member Christine Brown.

An FDP press note said the candidates will “receive grassroots organizing and fundraising support from the state party.”
