The legal troubles of influencer Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, have followed them to South Florida.
Attorney General James Uthmeier confirmed there is an “active criminal investigation” into the brothers’ “atrocious” behavior toward “women around the world … some of them minors.”
The Tates are dual U.S. and British citizens. They arrived in Fort Lauderdale last month after a Donald Trump envoy eased their release from Romania, where they faced human trafficking and rape charges.
A Romanian court ruled the case couldn’t go to trial due to procedural irregularities, but the case remained open.
The brothers deny any wrongdoing.
