Todd Drosky is continuing to serve Deerfield Beach in public office under a new title: Mayor.

The Commissioner took 56% of the vote to defeat real estate investor Dan Herz, a fellow Republican, for the right to succeed term-limited Mayor Bill Ganz.

He’ll serve at City Hall alongside new Commissioners Daniel Shanetzky and Thomas Plaut, who won their races with 51% and 84% of the vote, respectively. Shanetzky topped two opponents. Plaut beat a lone write-in candidate.

Five municipalities in Broward County – Deerfield Beach, Coconut Creek, Miramar, Pembroke Pines and Sea Ranch Lakes – held elections this month. See the results.
