Stephanie Bruder and Molly Diallo just secured four more years on the Bay Harbor Islands Council, outpacing a third candidate who hoped to pick one of them off Tuesday.
In an at-large and nonpartisan election where voters chose between all three candidates, Bruder won 45% of the vote and Diallo had 40% support.
Dave Sanchez, a first-time candidate, received the remaining 15%. Only 998 of the town’s 3,385 registered voters cast ballots.
Bruder has served on the Town Council for more than a decade, including as Mayor and Vice Mayor. Diallo first won her seat unopposed in 2021.
