Roughly six months after they landed him a reassignment on the Broward Circuit, vulgar comments Judge Gary Farmer made from the bench, combined with newly uncovered indiscretions and biased actions, may earn him a suspension.
The Florida Supreme Court this month received notice of charges and a recommendation to suspend Farmer, a former Senate Democratic Leader, for making lewd, sex-focused statements while hearing cases.
Farmer also demonstrated an “unfitness to serve,” Judicial Qualifications Commission General Counsel Alex John Williams wrote, because he “willfully ignored” laws and rules of procedures “or was unaware of the most basic elements of the law.”
