South Florida’s Winner and Loser of the Week

by katem

Winner: Howard Hepburn

The Broward School Board decided to give a three-year extension to its Superintendent, allowing him to remain in that position until June 30, 2030.

But that’s not the only reason Hepburn landed here. His new deal also raises his salary by $10,000, to more than $360,000 per year, a perk he didn’t even request.

Loser: Chelsea Reed

The Palm Beach Gardens City Council denied Reed a fourth consecutive year serving as Mayor during a tense meeting.

With Reed facing term limits on the Council next year, the body decided to return Council member Marcie Tinsley to the role.
