Boca Raton Deputy Mayor Fran Nachlas is running to replace Mayor Scott Singer.
She’s now one of three candidates in the open Mayor’s race, along with perennial candidate Bernard Korn and City Council member Andy Thomson, who filed last month.
A Boca Raton resident since 1996, Nachlas previously chaired the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency and served on its Community Advisory Council. She is also a board member of the Palm Beach County Transportation Planning Agency, among other notable panels.
As Boca Raton’s Mayor, she said she will “be leading and taking the tough decisions head-on.”
The election is on March 10.
