Two candidates are competing in a Special Election to fill the Miami City Commission’s District 4 seat, left vacant by Commission Manolo Reyes’ death last month.
Jose Regalado, the son of former Mayor Tomás Regalado and brother to Miami-Dade Commissioner Raquel Regalado, resigned from a city role to run.
Ralph Rosado, an urban planner and former Manager of North Bay Village, is again mounting a Commission bid after unsuccessfully challenging Reyes in 2017.
The winner June 3 will serve through 2027, representing Flagami and Coral Way.
Recent polling found the candidates have 26% support each, with 46% of voters still undecided.

The disqualification of Ralph Cabrera by Tomas Regalado’s office, reportedly after just four days, is raising eyebrows. Given that Jose Regalado, Tomas’s son, then entered the District 4 race, can we really ignore the optics here? This isn’t how typical homestead investigations unfold.
