The Miami Marlins open a series in Tampa against the Rays on Friday with games also scheduled Saturday and Sunday.
Both teams are looking for consistency. Tampa Bay has been hovering around the .500 mark this year, just outside of the wild card chase in the American League, while the Marlins have fallen off dramatically since an 8-8 start to the season.
In the first series of the year between the two teams, Tampa Bay took two of three from the Marlins in Miami. This weekend marks the last time the two Florida clubs are scheduled to meet this season.
